Back in 2016 through 2018, and prior to our present USGA handicap system. The Dirty Valley Golf Club once used a points system to determine winners. Those days are long gone, but as a tribute to our history, we bring you the Throwback Points Tourney as part of our Winter League 2022 competition.
Here’s how it works. Instead of keeping track of your overall score, you will receive points based on what you score each hole (birdie, par, bogey, double bogey, etc). This point scoring system is listed below. Please note: If you get a triple bogey or worse, you will have 1 point deducted from your score.
Obviously if you hit the triple bogey threshold and you haven’t holed out, simply pick up your ball as either way you will lose 1 point from your overall score. This will help our overall pace of play too.
