Q SCHOOL

Dirty Valley Golf Club presents Q SCHOOL

The need for Q-School has become very evident over the past two years. With tournament day cancellations and no call / no shows at record high numbers, it has simply become time to make changes to the Dirty Valley Golf Club.

Although these may seem like harmless fouls, they are not. By cancelling a tournament you registered for, or worse, doing a no call / no show, the following ramifications are felt by club officials:

You are helping to destroy the reputation of the person or persons booking golf tournaments throughout Central California. When we book 20 and show up with 14, you leave the booking DV rep hanging out to dry, making excuses for your irresponsibility.

When members cancel or no show and we cannot meet our numbers we commit to, it makes it harder for us to book premium tee times at those courses in the upcoming years.

You leave your head-to-head match up with no one to play potentially costing them a half to a full point.

You upset the order of the foursomes we have scheduled, thus forcing last minute changes to scheduled tee times and throwing all of our players off their game.

All new members must play in at least one Q-School tournament before going on the DV Tour.

Any player who commits a No Call / No show must play in at least one Q-School tournament.

Any player who registers and then cancels their registration after we have called in the numbers to a golf course, three times in one season. You are then required to play in one Q-School tournament.

Anyone caught blatantly cheating in a Dirty Valley Tournament will be required to play in one and possibly two Q-School tournaments. Assuming you are not banished from the club first.

For new members:

New members will play in the tournament hosted by a DV veteran. At this tourney they will learn about the rules, protocol, points system, and get an overall indoctrination of how our club works and what is expected of them as members.

For veteran members

Let’s face the facts. This is golf jail if you are here for no call / no show, too many tournament cancellations or worst of all CHEATING your Dirty Valley brothers.

There will be a Dirty Valley Q School Tournament on the same day as the 5th and 10th tournaments scheduled for Dirty Valley play. For example:

The 5th Dirty Valley Tournament will be played at Tulare. On that same day and time a Q School qualifier tournament will be played in Lemoore. If you are required to play in Q School, you obviously won’t be playing in or invited to – the Tulare Shootout.

The 10th Dirty Valley Tournament will be played at Sherwood Forest. On that same day and time a Q School qualifier tournament will be played in Tulare. If you are required to play in Q School, you won’t be able to play in the Robin Hood Classic.

If you are a new member playing in your qualifier for the DV Tour, you will receive a one point credit when you join the DV Tour and are listed in the standings.

You will also receive one point for playing if you are a veteran that’s there for too many cancellations (3).

If you are in the tournament due to cheating or No Call / No Show you will receive no Dirty Valley points.

YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY ON THE DIRTY VALLEY TOUR AGAIN UNTIL YOU MEET YOUR Q SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS.

If you are sick, have to work, or simply decide you don’t want to play Q School, you must sit out every Dirty Valley tournament until you complete the required Q School tournament entry. Or in a worst case scenario your membership will be revoked.

You commit a NO CALL / NO SHOW violation during the first four tournaments of the season.

You must now play the Q School Tournament during Week 5 at Lemoore. Complete this and you’re good to go. If you miss this tournament you can’t play until the week 10 Q School Tournament. Make this you are back in business. Miss this and you are disqualified from play for the rest of the year.

You register and cancel three times during the first nine tournaments. You must now play Q School in the 10th tournament. Do this you’re good. Miss this and you’re out for the remainder of the season.

New members will only be accepted through the first two Q School Tournaments.

Any violations that occur from week 10 through 15, will force you to miss the following year’s opening tournament and you will required to play Q School Tourney on week 5. You will still be permitted to play in and accrue points during weeks 2 through 4.

It takes you 14 tournaments but you manage to register and cancel three times for tournaments we’ve booked and committed to. You will now miss next year’s opening tournament and be required to play in the Q School tourney during week 5.

Bottom Line: Show up when you say you’re going to. Don’t cheat. And you’ll never have to worry about Q School. If you are unwilling to abide by these rules we will be happy to help you find a new NCGA club that may be a better fit for you.
