1st Annual Tournament of Champions on January 7th, 2023
A tournament for the golfers who scored the lowest scores at each tournament in 2022. This tournament is to be played on the course with the highest slope rating at River Island Golf Club. This is a no handicap tournament specifically calling out:
Big Tip / D-12 / Capt Bastard / Sick Vic / Double D / Janky Jared / Lynch Mob
These guys all had the lowest scores in at least one tournament in 2022. Everyone is welcome to play, but there is no handicap. Buy-in is $20 with the top three places being paid out.

Note: We were going to make Eagle Springs (Masters) and River Island actual shotgun start tournaments. But each of these courses requires a minimum of 30 golfers to do that. So that most likely will not happen in 2023.

Dirty Valley Champions Cup
The cup got beat to shit in 2022. Repairs will be $60 + $40 for a new metal cup. Please take care of it. We will start inspecting it prior to each tournament. If it is damaged the champion who last possessed it will be charged to repair it. If a winner sees damage they need to report it so they are not blamed.
Flag Hunter 33
Issue is…….Can you still keep your Flag Hunter measurement if you are unable to finish the tournament due to a disqualification?
The Rule as it is written
4) The Flag Hunter 33 Competition has nothing to do with the Points Competition and Dirty Valley Cup Play. There will be no extra points awarded for closest to the pin, as these are separate competitions and have no bearing on each other.
Rule was written to stop guys from trying to get extra points through Flag Hunter. However, it never occurred to us that it can argued in reverse and create a whole new type of controversy.
Reasons someone may DQ – Wife is sick / Kid is sick / General Emergency / Injury / Lost clubs / Someone dies / You’re sick / You’re Drunk / Course Closes Due to Weather / to name a few.
To avoid controversy and arguments, it has been voted 6 to 2 by members at the annual conference to keep it separate from tournament play. In other words, whether you finish the tournament or not, if you paid your $5 at the beginning, and you score a measurable shot, the shot stands, even if you do not finish the tournament for whatever reason.
2022 Revenue and Expense
The table below shows our membership base from 2022 and lists three new members at the bottom. If there is a dollar amount next to a persons name, that simply means we’re confident that they will be renewing with the club and actively playing in 2023. If there is no dollar amount next to a name, it means we are unsure of that player’s status in 2023.
