AZ 2021

Okay boyz, let’s get ready to rock. Below are some basic details about our upcoming trip.

Accommodations

We are staying in what is considered Central Phoenix. This is a NO SMOKING unit and the owner was very adamant about this. No smoking in the unit or on the patio or staircases. So puff-puff pass and cigies need to done in the parking lot. Sorry, but most properties are this way in Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Required Codes

Main Gate Code: #3578

Keys: Deadbolt front door entry to unit can be made via key code entry (three fingers across keypad to activate, 85387 followed by check mark in lower right corner of display to disengage bolt). Deadbolt re-locks door 60” post-entry.

Golf Reservations

I have pre-booked our tee times and had to secure them with a credit card. If we no show, I still get charged the green fees. If you feel you can’t make some of the courses below, please let me know immediately so that I can change the reservations and not be charged for golf we don’t play. Click on the golf logos below to visit their websites.

Thursday – May 27th

Tee time is 8:00am / Slope 118 / Cost $61 plus tax

I played this when it was called Sanctuary back in 2010. It has since been re-designed in 2011, so I can’t tell you much. It did have recent favorable golf reviews though. Looks like a fairly forgiving course (to a point). Should be a good starter course for our golf vacation.

Friday – May 28th

Tee time is 8:40am / Slope 123 / Cost $74 plus tax

I’ve never played this course. It is a Troon Golf course which means it’s gonna be real nice. Troon courses are all high end, challenging and beautiful. It’s at a Hilton Resort which sits on Tapatio Cliffs. Should be amazing views. Their signature hole (Number 10) is a mountain shot down into a valley, and is supposed to be really cool.

Saturday – May 29th

Tee time is 9:00am / Slope 110 or 122 (blue) / Cost is $69 plus tax

I’ve played this course more than any other in Phoenix. Don’t let the slope fool you. It’s like Ridge Creek with more water. A long links course that is full of surprises. I had nine APRO golf tournaments at this course between 2008 and 2016.

Monday – May 31st

Tee time is 9:12am / Slope 119 / Cost is $68 plus tax

Tommy and Jason will remember this one. This is where the Hanford Boyz played in 2017. I hosted 5 APRO golf tournaments at Orange Tree. It’s a tight course surrounded by nice houses. It has kinda a Chowchilla feel to it. Sprinkle in some water hazards here and there and it will give a good run for your money.
